The McConnell Foundation sponsors Safety Fair
On September 11th, the City of Redding held its annual Safety Fair, giving community members an opportunity to interact directly with some of the people most responsible for safety in the downtown area and beyond.
As Program Officer for Community Vitality, Rachel Hatch wrote in the sponsorship commitment to Redding Police Department Sargeant Sam Llamas, “Public safety is key to the overall vitality of the community. Events like the Safety Fair are an important opportunity for engagement between police and the community at large. These kinds of public events strengthen relational ties, which is key to trust. I appreciate RPD’s proactive approach through the Safety Fair.”
