Traditionally, Signing Day events focus on athletes announcing their college or university of choice. At Reach Higher Shasta, they believe all students deserve to be celebrated! College and Career Signing Day is an opportunity to recognize high school seniors from various Shasta County high schools who have made plans to improve their quality of life through college and/or career education after graduating high school.
In May 2023, Reach Higher Shasta hosted the Fifth Annual College and Career Signing Day, celebrating 66 high school seniors who were headed off to the military, community college, trade school, entrepreneurship, or a four-year university. Always a special part of the event, Reach Higher Shasta, along with the generous contributions of several community partners, held an opportunity drawing and awarded 20 students a $500 scholarship to help in the pursuit of their future goals.
