North State Together
North State Together is a regional network of cross-sector partners on a mission to improve economic and educational outcomes in far Northern California. With a vision of a thriving North State built on the educational success of every child from cradle through career, North State Together supports local solutions within a regional framework to ensure equity of opportunity for ALL.
Through grants from The McConnell Foundation in 2016 and 2019, North State Together was established as a service hub linking five distinct cradle-to-career county networks in far Northern California. Serving as the collective impact “backbone,” North State Together supports county-based initiatives in Modoc, Trinity, Tehama, Shasta, and Siskiyou counties. As the backbone organization, North State Together provides strong leadership and support to keep our counties united toward our common vision while facilitating each county network in creating and directing their own success.
Due to the success of this collaboration, North State Together received the California Regional K 16 Education Collaboratives Grant in 2022, allowing them to expand their reach to five additional counties: Butte, Glenn, Lassen, Plumas, and Sierra. With a focus on healthcare and education, North State Together utilizes the K-16 Grant funds to create streamlined pathways from high school to college and into the workforce. North State Together will continue to leverage its partnership with The McConnell Foundation to support all cradle to career initiatives of its original five-county network.
